How to start and handle the slurry pump?
With the development of the slurry pump’s technology, more and more factories and mining project tend to use the slurry pump.
Then, do you know how to start and operate it in a right way?
So some preparations are necessary to start and run the slurry pump.

What should we do before the slurry pump working

A、Check the outlet and inlet’s valve on the pipeline, flange bolt, couplings, pressure gauges, thermometers and so on.
B、Check the pump working condition, confirm the first disk drive, noisy and flexibility.
C、Remove the gas in pump body by opening the inlet valve. Filled the pump with liquid, then close the outlet valve.
D、Add lubricating oil to the oil tank of the pump

E、Supply the cooling water and open the pressure meter to check the sensibility.
F、Check the safety equipment, such as wheel cowling and ground wire.
We can work normally after the preparations.

Below points are the right ways to start and operate the slurry pump :

A、The pump can be started when the preparations are examined normally.
Please pay attention to ampere meter, pump’s turning, pressure meter, leakage and so on as soon as the pump runs.
When all is normal, the we can open outlet valve

B、The bearing’s working temperature should be less 65℃,and the motor’s temperature should be less 70℃
C、The pump’s outlet valve can control the flow.
E、Check the pump’s situation about running,Vibration and leakage.
F、Check supply situation of pump cooling water and level changes of lubricating oil
G、The oil seal pressure for seal oil pump is more 0.05-0.1MPa than pump outlet pressure.
H、Oil or grease should be changed regularly for the long-time running pump to make sure the good oil condition.
All above points are the ways to start and operate the pump correctly.
